Anzac Day - Red Poppies

Anzac Day

Our centre will be CLOSED on Monday 26th April due to ANZAC Day public holiday and we will be honouring our past- and present service men and woman at our Anzac Memorial Formal Ball this Saturday Night 24th April. We are both happy and sad to say the tickets have all SOLD OUT and it promises to be a wonderful night of dancing to live music by Patty & Tony, generous, lucky door prizes and of course while commemorating that day in history where our passed loved ones are remembered and those still with us celebrated for their service to our country. All are encouraged to dress in red/white/blue plus bring along old photos to share and BYO food and drinks.

Cooly Rocks On – 10th to 14th June 2021

We are overly excited that Cooly Rocks On is back this year, and we are getting involved by offering 2 incredible nights of Rockin’ and a Rollin’ to 2 super popular live Rock n Roll bands.

We are taking pre-bookings as space is limited and as Border Rockers’ Thursday night is already sold out, we have no doubt our nights will fill up fast. Please ring the club to book your table of up to 6 persons per table and choose either Friday night with Route 66 or Saturday night with Rockafellas, each night only $25 per person or why not both for $40! They are BYO food and drink nights so bring your own everything to share only with your table due to Covid-restrictions. We will accept card payments soon too.

Be Connected

Our FREE computer lessons are going great Mondays with Peter, Wednesdays, & Fridays with Lynne, so a quick reminder that we are only able to fit each person in for a maximum 3 sessions per month to be fair to others but if there are last minute vacancies then we can offer you an extra session in that month.

Bus Pick-ups

We are grateful for volunteer David picking up some Monday Bingo Members and if there is enough interest, we want to also offer a Thursday bus pick up to our Seated Tai Chi class. Please register at reception if you want to come to this beautiful gentle movement class 9-10am Thursdays and need a pick-up.

Labour Day Closure

Another quick reminder that the centre is also closed Monday 3rd May 2021 due to May Day/Labour Day holiday in Queensland.

Happy Labour Day 2021

We hope you have a wonderful and safe Anzac Day long weekend and look forward to sharing more very soon.
