Easter Weekend

Our centre will be closed on Good Friday 2nd April and Easter Monday 5th April though some activities continue throughout the break, namely Table Tennis Friday & Sunday, New Vogue Structured Social Partner Dancing Saturday night 3rd April and Lawn Bowls Sunday 4th April.

Easter closure 2nd-5th April 2021.

Please adhere to the Qld Department of Health’s latest COVID regulations and maintain social distancing (which has been increased to 4m2 per person) and the use of face masks when entering the building or gathering in groups. Masks can be taken off during your activity or when having your cuppa.

We would like to extend our best wishes for a very safe and happy Easter and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Special events coming up to mark in your diaries…

 Seniors Week – Tweed Shire – 14th – 24th April 2021

We are celebrating our Seniors at the club all week with all our various activities for mind, body & soul but also have a very special FREE collaborative and inclusive session named “Exploring Resilience” on Friday 16th April 1-3pm where we will share some mindfulness, movement, creativity, health tips and other wonderful ways to connect and support one another – very important.

Anzac Memorial Formal Ball Saturday 24th April

And for those of you who were in the ADF we are honouring your service via a formal ball on Saturday 24th April with live music by Patti & Tony and a grand finale to Seniors Week too – details on the flyer.

NEW CLASSES

Seated Tai Chi is now starting Thursday 8th April 9-9.30am with Marlene & Advanced Tai Chi on Saturday 10th April with Ray.

Traditional Tai Chi has proven health benefits, including:

    • Supporting joints and improving mobility
    • Building muscle strength, including core
    • Boosting wellbeing

The Seated Tai Chi would also benefit those who:

    • Are recovering from injury, illness, or surgery
    • Use a walker, wheelchair, or cane
    • Are unsteady on their feet, or cannot easily walk for 30 mins
