Code of Conduct
The Coolangatta Senior Citizens Centre is committed to providing a friendly place of fun, learning and activities for senior members of the community.
All members, visitors, volunteers and staff of the Coolangatta Senior Citizens Centre (CSCC) are expected to:

Comply with directions or instructions from staff, management committee or authorised persons in charge.

Pay any fees in relation to an activity, class, or memberships.

Treat other members, visitors, volunteers and Centre staff with courtesy and respect.

Refrain from behaviours that discriminate, harass, offend, intimidate, disturb or embarrass others.

Respect the privacy of others and their right to confidentiality.

Handle with care property belonging to CSCC.

No CSCC computers or equipment is to be used without permission by management.

Not to enter secure areas unless authorised to do so (eg kitchen, storerooms, admin offices.)

Not to enter into any activity in progress without prior permission. Always check in with reception or admin.

Follow all CSCC safety practices and requirements including reporting accidents / incidents

Refrain from representing the CSCC unless authorised to do so.

Not to pursue personal activities on CSCC premises without appropriate written permission (for example selling goods /services for own profit, or petitions requesting signatures.)

Not use mobile phones in classes / activitie sessions. Please take your calls outside.
By Entering the Centre Premises you have consented to be recorded via our security system
Report inappropriate behaviour of a member or visitor to the Activity Facilitator or Administration Manager.

Any member with a grievance should approach the Administration Manager in the first instance.

If unresolved, the Centre has a procedure in place to resolve the matter.

Grievances must not be aired at large nor on social media to unauthorised persons or organisations so as not to damage the Centre's reputation, bring our Centre into disrepute nor breach confidentiality.

Not bring or consume alcohol on the premises except at events sanctioned by the Committee.

No smoking withing 5 metres of the grounds perimeter.

Abide by and uphold our Constitution and Code of Conduct (both documents on the Centre's website).
Any member not behaving in accordance with the terms of the Code of Conduct will be investigated and after discussion by the CSCC Management Committee, an appropriate course of action will be taken which may include a reprimand, suspension or cancellation of membership.
